Maker Geeks lists this filament as FDA Approved, Food Safe PLA. I am under the impression that this is made with food safe resins from NatureWorks and extruded on FDA approved equipment. However when working with typical home printers, it is important to know the items printed are not FDA approved. Materials from the printer and previous filaments can end up in the print. Additionally the layers create crevices for dirt and bacteria to grow.
It’s a good effort on Maker Geeks to provide an FDA Approved filament but at the same time it’s irresponsible to not warn customers about the other factors.
