This Inland blue is somewhat transparent. Its a nice Royal Blue if you are on a budget.
Inland from Microcenter is one of the least expensive filaments available. They have a wide selection of color and it prints fine most of the time. In general though, the Inland colors are less saturated, sometimes transparent, and can have inconsistent shade on large prints. Inland comes on a 1KG vacuum sealed roll with a plastic spool. Some specialty rolls are sold in half kilograms, such as color changing filament. If shopping locally watch out for opened rolls. Microcenter will often take returns of open rolls.

This used to be a nice color, but unfortunately some time in mid-2018 Microcenter changed the blue. When I bought it in either late 2017 or early 2018, it was called “Egyptian Blue” and was the only blue PLA other than “light blue”.
Currently they now have two different darker blues. A new Egyptian Blue which is now a very close match to AmazonBasic’s Blue. And a just “Blue” that is somewhere between the old and the new Egyptian Blue, not as saturated.
I’m rather disappointed as it was one of their more unique colors.
I have the same problem with their purple. I just got a sample of the new purple and it’s nowhere near the same.
I recently came across an article when doing research into inland (microcenter) brand, which i believe is from eSun. Ill link below to the article but basically they couldnt meet demand for their Inland PLA and added a second manufacturer.
